Four Films, One Purpose: Crafting Visual Impact for a Cause

Explore how our campaign, directed, filmed, and edited by Dino Dimar, successfully raised 800,000 + AUD for the Archbishop Campaign and earned the IABC Best of the Best award. Through powerful storytelling and community engagement, parishioners showed their support online and through checks. By showcasing our primary film during mass in Catholic churches across Victoria, we effectively conveyed our mission. Four additional videos amplified our message, helping us meet fundraising goals and strengthening the bonds of faith for future generations.

The Archbishop Campaign of the Catholic Archdiocese of Melbourne

Aims to address critical funding needs while fostering community engagement and support among parishioners. Launched as an annual initiative, it consolidates multiple fundraising efforts into one comprehensive campaign to enhance efficiency and maximize contributions.

The campaign serves various essential ministries, including the care of retired priests, seminarian education, and support for community service organizations. In light of declining church attendance and traditional funding sources, the campaign adopts innovative strategies, such as promoting online recurring donations and utilizing engaging multimedia content.

Furthermore, the Archbishop Campaign reinforces the Archdiocese's mission to inspire faith and connection within the community, establishing a lasting commitment to its values and objectives. Through a combination of compelling storytelling and widespread outreach, it aims to not only meet financial goals but also strengthen the bonds of faith for generations to come.

The Goal

Campaign Achieves Remarkable Results

The campaign achieved impressive results, with the heart felt video made a huge impact. The quality of directing and editing effectively showcased the church's mission.

Successfully encouraged donations and reversed the decline in giving. While transitioning parishes to online giving took some time, we identified opportunities to enhance this message in the 2025 campaign. Aligning themes and messaging with key Church events, like vocations week, created a more compelling case for giving and will be a focus in our future planning.
